Darcentia Turner is the owner of First Stroke Aquatics. Her passion for teaching developed
after several years of instructing swim lessons. With her 25 plus years experience in aquatics which includes
competitive swimming from K-12 into her collegiate years. This has equipped her with extensive knowledge to become a certified swim instructor/trainer with the Red Cross . The idea of creating a mobile swim school continued while seeing the transformation of adults and children. Turner's mission is to shift the perspective of those who may be experiencing a fear of water. Her mantra is "Water is gentle, water is not the enemy." It all starts with taking the First Stroke.
What is your water story? First Stroke Aquatics is your swim expert provider. We offer quality private swim instructions in the comfort of your own home or community pools. We believe everyone should know the safety of swimming therefore there are no age restrictions. We serve everyone.
